A delicate style of Pinot Blanc that is all about enjoyment, drinking now, at lunch, as an aperitif or whenever …. get some.
Hand harvested in April, the grapes were whole bunch pressed, fermented at cool temperatures using a mixture of wild and introduced yeasts, fined before filtration and bottling end sept 18.
On the Nose: Pear, spice and citrus aromas are followed by flavours of stonefruit with a delicate creamy like texture, underpinned by mineral notes and refreshing acidity.
On the Palate: Medium Bodied, zingy vibrant acidity adding a super long finish to a dry, classy white.
Mount Edward
Established in 1997 by Central Otago pioneer Alan Brady—also the founder of Gibbston Valley Wines—the winery began as a hands-on project focused on premium Pinot Noir and Riesling. Current owners John Buchanan and winemaker Duncan Forsyth took over in 2004, expanding into diverse varieties while upholding Brady’s ethos of minimal intervention and wild yeast fermentation.
Five BioGro-certified estate vineyards span Gibbston and Pisa sub-regions and soils range from glacial gravels to alluvial fans, yielding elegant, mid-weight style wines with fine tannins.
