A stellar vintage in 2023 has produced one of our more concentrated Ted Pinot Noirs to date. Classic Central Otago fruit flavours, soft supple texture, a trademark of Mount Edward, all supported by a long taste and fine tannins.

In Appearance : ruby red
On the Nose : red cherry, ripe wild strawberry, and dark plum.
On the Palate : Supple, round, and approachable on the palate. Generous red fruit flavors dominate early, supported by a gentle touch of fine oak integration. Soft, velvety tannins give structure without drying out the mouth, while a bright, refreshing vein of natural acidity carries the wine into a persistent finish.

Serving Suggestion: Best enjoyed slightly cool (around 14–16°C). Pairs exceptionally well with roasted duck, mushroom risotto, or cured meats.

Mount Edward

Established in 1997 by Central Otago pioneer Alan Brady—also the founder of Gibbston Valley Wines—the winery began as a hands-on project focused on premium Pinot Noir and Riesling. Current owners John Buchanan and winemaker Duncan Forsyth took over in 2004, expanding into diverse varieties while upholding Brady’s ethos of minimal intervention and wild yeast fermentation.

Five BioGro-certified estate vineyards span Gibbston and Pisa sub-regions and soils range from glacial gravels to alluvial fans, yielding elegant, mid-weight style wines with fine tannins.
