2025 Coal Pit Pinot Noir Rose, Central Otago

Coal Pit is a family-owned, certified-organic vineyard and winery on the north-facing slopes of Gibbston, Central Otago.

100% Pinot Noir, hand-harvested from a high-elevation site. It’s a beautiful Pinot Noir Rosé with delicacy, texture and a fine mineral line.

In Appearance : Palest shell-pink
On the Nose : Wild strawberry, white nectarine and cherry blossom unfold with hibiscus and rosewater.
On the Palate : Red summer berries and orange peel glide across crushed schist minerality; brioche and warm spice linger on a long, quietly savoury finish.

Food Match : New Zealand scallop roasted in kelp butter, or simply olives and sunshine.
