$25.99
Accolades :
94 Points – Sam Kim, WineOrbit‘Beautifully fruited and elegantly fragrant, the bouquet shows apricot, rockmelon, poached pear, and subtle spice aromas. The palate is equally appealing with succulent fruit flavours, fleshy texture, and finely pitched acidity, making it splendidly balanced and lingering with delectable flavours.’
Grown on the Mangatahi Terraces in Hawke’s Bay the site experiences warm days but cooler night temperatures which enables the wine to express lovely fruit characters backed up by a fresh, lively acidity.
Herringbone
A boutique winery based in the Bridge Pa Triangle of Hawkes Bay, Herringbone is known for producing high-quality, single-estate wines that express the unique soils and climate of the region. Owned by Karen and Troy since 2016, the vineyard has vines that are over 20 years old and grows primarily Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec. Their winemaking philosophy focuses on minimal intervention to let the vineyard’s qualities shine through, with Dan Brennan as their winemaker.
The vineyard benefits from unique red metal soils over an ancient riverbed and a microclimate sheltered by nearby Roys Hill. They aim to emphasize Syrah as a flagship wine and plan to expand with more varieties, focusing on quality and low environmental impact.
