Cappelletti Il Specialino Vino Aperitivo 750ml
Cappelletti is a historic Italian distillery founded in 1906 in Trento, now based in Aldeno, renowned for its traditional bitters, liqueurs, and wine-based aperitivi crafted from herbs, roots, and flowers by the Cappelletti family for over four generations.
The Aperitivo Cappelletti, endearingly known to locals as just “Specialino”, may be the oldest style of the classic red bitter still in production. Unlike its larger commercial rivals, Cappelletti is less sweet and has a wonderful drying finish. This yields a Negroni or Spritz that is dry and refreshing in the finish.
In Appearance: Cappelletti uses natural carmine colour for a crimson red and retains a vinous texture from its wine base.
On the Nose: Round and very full, captivating with just a hint of bitterness and herbs.
On the palate: The texture on the palate is generous, providing a slight bitterness from notes of citrus peel.
